Start the three-day hike by leaving asphalt roads, noise and car exhaust behind you in the small town of Sexten. After a good 6.5 kilometers and 1,000 meters of altitude, you will soon be surrounded by the Dolomites in all their glory. Here is the mountain hut Rifugio Locatelli (or Dreizinnenhütte in German), from which there is an unspoiled view of the three peaks. The perfect place to rest your legs, enjoy a glass of wine, have a delicious meal and look forward to tomorrow's adventures. On the second day, the path winds around the jagged peaks and offers a wonderful view in all directions, before spending the night again at Rifugio Locatelli. The network of paths and huts stretches far and wide through the mountains, so if you are not ready to return to Sexten and the rest of the world after three days, there are many more paths, huts and peaks on the horizon.
